Can you write personalised details on a piece of work?

Yes, absolutely! One of the joys of handwritten and individual work is that it is tailored to your requirements. Names, dates and places etc can all be incorporated into the design. For example, the name of the bride and groom and the date and place of the wedding can all be written on a poem or vows as a memento of their special day. Please click here to see an example.

Are any of the pieces of work on your website for sale?

Yes, some of the pieces are for sale. Many of the pieces are commissioned works and others have already been sold. Please contact us to enquire about the price and delivery options. If there is a piece of work you would like but which is not for sale, please let Sue know as she may be able to do a similar piece specially for you.

How long will the work take?

The length of time from order to delivery depends on several factors - the size and complexity of the work; materials used and whether they have to be ordered specially; time taken for the client to approve drafts; and Sue's workload at the time of ordering. However, she will give an estimate of the delivery time during the initial consultation. If the work is required by a specific date Sue will do her best to fit it in and will let you know if this is not possible before the order is placed. If she is unable to do the work she can give names and contact details of other calligraphers who might be able to help.

Can you tell me how much it will cost?

It is incredibly difficult to give a guide price since each piece of work is unique and tailored to the client's requirements. Sue will give an estimate during the initial consultation and the more information you can give her, the more accurate this will be.

Can I collect the work?

Yes, by all means. You can arrange this with Sue during the initial consultation.

Can you post the work to me?

Yes, but generally only if it is not framed. Framed work can be packaged carefully and sent but an extra charge will be made for this. Sue usually sends work using the Royal Mail's Special Delivery which has a guaranteed next-day delivery and which insures the work. Postage and packing will be charged pro rata and she can give an idea of what this might be prior to posting.
